About IPO

The IPO for Saraswati Saree Depot is scheduled to begin on August 12, 2024, and end on August 14, 2024. With a fresh issue of ₹56.02 crores and an offer to sell up to 6,499,800 equity shares at a face value of ₹10 apiece, the IPO seeks to raise about ₹160.01 crores. 15% of the IPO quota is allocated to high net worth individuals (HNIs), 50% to qualified institutional buyers (QIBs), and 35% to regular investors.

*Established History: Saraswati Saree Depot has been a prominent player in the saree industry since its founding in 1966. 
*Important Figure in B2B Sarees Wholesale: The CRISIL Report states that they are a major participant in the wholesale  saree market. 
 

Product Selection and Income:
*Main Focus on Sarees: The selling of sarees contributes to more than 90% of their overall revenue. 
*Additional Products: Dealing in the wholesale distribution of various women's clothing items, including bottoms,  lehengas, dress materials, and kurtis. 
*Large portfolio: They've got over 300,000 distinct SKUs in their product portfolio. 

Clientele and Audience:

*Client Interaction: They provided services to about 15,000 distinct clients in Fiscal 2023. 
 

Business Development: 
*Family Business Consolidation: In 1993, the Dulhani family's second generation combined their sole proprietorships to  form the partnership company "M/s. Saraswati Sadi Depot," which served as a consolidation and reorganization of the  family business. 
*Transition to Partnership Firm: In 1996, the Late Laxmandas Danomal Dulhani dissolved the original partnership firm he  had founded. 
 

Purchasing and Supplier Connections: 
*Diverse Sourcing: They get their sarees from a number of Indian manufacturers, including major cities like Bengaluru,  Kolkata, Dharmavaram, Mau, Madurai, Surat, and Varanasi. 
*Supplier Network: Over 900 weavers and suppliers in various Indian states provide them with sarees and other women's  clothing on a daily basis.
